Washington Old Town

Our first glimpse of the famous Washington Monument

Anchored up in the City Centre

The Washington Monument

Looking over the WW II Memorial and the Reflecting Pool to the Lincoln Memorial

In between is the World War II Memorial

Your not allowed to wade in the water but the ducks weren't taking any notice of the signs

They were off for a Jacuzzi!

The Reflecting Pool and the Washington Memorial

Bottoms up!

The Lincoln Memorial

Walking around the outside of the Lincoln Memorial

The view across the bridge to General Lee houses and the Arlington Military Cemetery

The Korean War Memorial

The Vietnam War Memorial, its crazy how many people died there

It was very sad, there were people looking up friends and family who had died in the war. A lot of personal items had been laid at the bottom of the lists and there were pictures of some of the men in their uniforms before they died.

A trip to the White House, we never took a tour inside but apparently you can still go in

We weren't really in his garden!!
