Off to Grand Central Station to see if it live up to its name. It did

The interior was all marble

with posh gold ticket windows

Gold clocks

and chandeliers

and hundreds of tracks

with stars on the ceiling!

Doing a bit of star watching!

Outside on 42nd street

and here is the Chrysler Building

off now to New York Public Library

Getting an access card to use the internet

back on the street and the po-lice are out for some action

stretch limos

and lots of yellow cabs

next on our whistle stop tour we have the Empire State building

off now for a quick wander around China Town

one man and his fish

one man and his veg

and straight on through to Little Italy, mmmmm fantastic ice-cream

but you've got to watch out for those Italians!

Now in Times Square

Hurrah for Irish Bar's! Boo for this one charging us $26 for 4 pints of Guinness :-( Bad pub!

So we quickly get the tube back down town

and to a very nice little curry place that we found a few days before, a huge yummy dinner for only $5.99, that's more like it!

Pat is very excited about her curry too!!

Back off towards the Staten Island ferry to take us back to Great Kills

We thought this was a fantastic combination of old and new, the building at the bottom left was a fair sized building in itself, it just goes to show how enormous these high raises are!
