Coming into Lighthouse reef

Caroline coming back from a snorkel off the boat

The beautiful clear, flat, blue sea

Long Cay at Lighthouse Reef

On Long Cay

wrecks off of Long Cay

Iguanas

One of the few houses on the island

One of the plots to be sold and developed, this is just 163

The dock

Off for a quick dive, watch out for that big barracuda

in they go

Is it a girl or a ladyboy!!?? You decide!

Oooo its mystic Meg helping with the cooking! Pasties for dinner tonight Meg, who'd have predicted that!

Lovely coloured sea again

Oh no the dive computer has be diving in cat wee! That computed as a 40 minute dive in 3 inches of pee!

The local fishermen, you wouldn't believe how much they could cram on to such small boats

Some of the diving boats in Lighthouse Reef

The locals fishing

Helmet Shells

Anchored at the mooring buoy at Lighthouse Reef, here's Andy feeding the fishes

All the fish over the side of the boat

Yellow Tailed Snapper

Caroline in with the fish

nasty jelly fish stings on Caroline

Off over to Long Cay, to give the diving cylinder back

Having some pop corn and rum on the pier before hand

plying the local fisherman with rum

Stu getting a lift to the guy who lent us the cylinders house, from one of the locals

Caroline, enjoying herself

Oh dear, she appears to have grown a beard!

Back to the boat and cooking up the lobster that the fisherman gave to us, in exchange for a few glasses of rum
Sandbore Cay - Lighthouse Reef

Off through the shallow atoll to the northern end and Sandbore Cay

This is the blue Hole, picture from above, taken from the lonely planet guide

This is us entering the Blue Hole in the boat

You can just about make it out if you use your imagination!

Up to the northern end of the atoll to Sandbore Cay

Sandbore Cay

The friendly little birds living on the rickety pier

Taking a look around the island

The big scary lighthouse

Caroline holding on for dear life at the top of the scary lighthouse

Caroline looking a bit less scared

Stuart at the top of scary lighthouse

Andy and Caroline at the top of scary lighthouse

Marie all alone in the anchorage

View down on the island

Me waiting at the bottom of the scary lighthouse (not scared at all!)

Back on the boat and I'm certainly having fun!

The sun setting

All on Sandbore, for an afternoon of rubbish burning and wine drinking

and coconut eating

Caroline and I going for a paddle

Stuart and Andy going on a scavenging mission to the big ship wreck. They never made it near as the reef was so shallow

Caroline, on the runway on the larger island here that used to be a resort but has long since closed down

The place still looks like it is up and running, all the tourist canoes are still sitting on the beach as they would have when people used the place

The accommodation still looks in good repair, although apparently on closer inspection there were holes in the roofs
