Staying at Marie and Sylvaine's cottage for the week to look after their dog Sam

I wasn't brave enough to test the strength of the ice
Its funny to think that our boat was out there not so long ago, this is the customs point where we signed in to Canada

The next day the temperature had risen and the ice began to melt, its surprising how quickly it melts and freezes
The commute to work in the morning on the icy roads.
Past the other farms
and houses
turn left at the local church
and we here ready for work. First things first to clear the snow from the path, being careful that an avalanche from the roof doesn't land on your head!
Now we Ski-Doo off up to the woods
where Stuart gets carried away with the chainsaw
The beginnings of our fire stack
On now deeper into the woods to find some good dry, dead trees to chop down and bring back to the house for fire wood.
The only problem being that we seem to spend most of our time digging the very heavy Ski-Doo out of deep snow where it has got stuck!
Back to the farm for a warm up by the fire with the animals
Mano being the dirty farm cat that he is, curled up in the fire box, It was quite funny as the box declared that its contents were produced in Guatemala! Mano must have been feeling home sick.
Ice Skating on the Canal
Off for an afternoons skating on a frozen part of the canal in St John
Its funny to think that we could be sailing past this marker buoy some time later this year!

Well you have to fight at a hockey game its the law!
That's enough fun for one day
Off far a quick beer at a friends where we met Mr Evil's cat!
