Coming through the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal

Les and Pat looking happy

Stuart at the Helm
Cape May

Over at the bar opposite the anchorage for dinner

Off on a day trip over to Wild Wood Island and it was more like being at a Margate! Lots of amusement arcades, thousands of people on the beach and a big fun fair

The beaches were very wide

We didn't bother to much with the fun fair

Atlantic Heights

Next we planned on doing a day sail to Atlantic City but when we got there we couldn't find the anchorage and were completely plagued with Horse Fly's, so we pegged it back out to sea and decided to take a foggy, rainy over night sail to Atlantic Heights instead.

Now in Atlantic Heights, just off of Sandy Hook around the corner from New York

They have hundreds of Horse Shoe crabs around here, and we found them all over the place

Les was very excited about them and decided he was going to take one home with him, I'm not sure Pat was quite so enthusiastic!

Off to the first bar we could find

Les is now making friends with slugs, I hope he's not going to take that home with him too!

Next stop a day trip over to Sandy Hook

Where we found a fantastic bicycle, walking skating route

Due to the restrictions of water on the boat we make Les wash at the public trough!!

On the beach at Sandy Hook and we can finally see the New York Sky Line in the distance
