Catskill, the last stop before taking the mast down

The Farmers Market on a Saturday, although we were a little disappointed as we were planning on getting a load of veg here but it was more of a craft fair than a Farmers Market

Marie anchored and tied up to the trees to stop us swinging out into the channel

Taking Mano over for a bit of freedom and adventure

A light house on the way from Catskill to Albany

The mist raising up from the water in the early morning, we are getting a bit chilly now!

In Castleton Upon Hudson we are beginning the process of taking down the mast

Hooking the crane onto the mast

Then winching the noose into place (I am doing the crane, behind the scenes!)

Down she comes

just needs to be secured now

and Stuart is happy that it ended up being so simple

Mano takes the opportunity to have an adventure

Next stop Albany, passing a very industrious part before reaching the city. This was a barge filled with crushed cars

The battle ship museum tied up on the town dock

Which we had to make a visit to see

Anchored off of Albany at night

We have now arrived at the first set of locks in Troy

Yeah! We made it through the first locks successfully, only 12 more to go

Taking the route up to Lake Champlain

Another set of locks in the distance

The locks were different to what we had expected, you either looped fore and aft to one pole which is set back in the wall or just hold onto one of the roped provided to steady the boat.

Tying up on the North Terminal of lock C5 and having a bar-b in the park

Mano is off too to have some more adventures

One of the dams along the canal

Jumpers on, getting a little chilly again

and the waterway is getting narrower

I think even Mano is feeling the cold

Now who would live in a house like this?!

and look, its for sale too, a lick of paint and it will be ready to move in!

Tied up on the south side of the last lock in White Hall

We are now officially in Lake Champlain

and pretty cold!

Even Mano and his mouse refuse to get out of bed
