Back in Canada and it is still snowing

and it's still cold!!

We have the biggest icicles I have ever seen!

and I am always a little worried about entering the house now!

The driveway needs de-snowing

and the doorstep

Arthur is very happy in the snow

where as Mano would much rather be inside by the warm fire, he only comes out if he really has to

Never leave your bike chained up by the side of the roads in Montreal as the snow blowers will come by and bury them!

Off to give the Ski-doo a test run.

The wind had picked up and was blowing snow everywhere

Having a zoom about in the top field

Its the weekend and we are off to try a bit of skiing

Here is all our gear that we picked up from the local charity shop, 2 pairs of ski's, 2 pairs of ski boots and a pair of poles all for the grand total of £10!! It costs £18 a day for one person to hire a set!

Off to Pierre's by the lake to pick him up.

The gang getting ready for a days skiing

Pierre the man of the house, which he built enirely with his own hands. Its an amazing place, not to mention all the crockery is also made by him.

A quick warm up by the fire

Take a quick look of the view from the breakfast table across the frozen lake

The view out over the frozen lake Champlain

The frozen lake and all those tiny dots are everyone out ice fishing

They drive their little huts out onto the ice, cut a hole in the ice and spend the day fishing indoors!

I still don't think I'd be happy driving a big car across a lake!

Get your fire going inside and you are nice and cozy for the day

On the bus from the car park to the ski lifts

and here we are all kitted up ready for Andre to teach us how to ski! The battery run out here so that's all we got!

Back at Pierre's for a lovely dinner and a warm up by the fire
