The plan to buy a boat, leave work behind and set sail had been in the pipe line for years. This was Stuart's big dream and he vowed that one day he would see it though.

So when the opportunity arose for us to buy a boat that Stuart had sailed before in Guatemala (a 33ft Capitol Newport called Marie), Stuart leapt at the chance. The dream finally became a reality and the adventure began in Guatemala, March 2005.

When we were thinking of leaving I searched the internet for women in my position, eg: not great sea lovers who got sick even at the thought of setting foot on a boat and I found very little. So I hope the site will be of interest to any of you reluctant sailing wives out there, cruising couples, day sailors, travelers, basically anyone wanting to follow a dream. You don't have to be millionaire just make the decision and the rest falls into place.

Three years later we are still out here, after sailing from Guatemala to Colombia, and on up to Canada. The site is a diary of our life along the way, to keep friends and family back at home up to date on our sailing adventures and anyone else who may be interested.
